Why is my order taking longer than expected?Updated 14 days ago

If your order is taking longer than expected, it is usually because your wig is still in production or experiencing a slight delay during the creation or shipping process.

Many of our wigs, especially human hair pieces, are made to order, which means they require time to be carefully completed before dispatch.

Why delays can happen

There are a few common reasons your order may take longer than initially expected:

1. Made-to-order production
Your wig is being individually created, which involves multiple stages such as construction, colouring, and quality checks. These processes can take time, especially during busy periods.

2. Customisation or complexity
Orders with:

  • Longer lengths
  • Higher density
  • Custom colours

may take closer to the full production timeframe or slightly longer to complete properly.

3. High demand periods
During peak times, such as sales or promotions, production timelines can extend slightly due to increased order volume.

4. Quality control standards
Every wig goes through a final inspection before dispatch. If adjustments are needed, this can add extra time but ensures you receive a piece that meets our standard.

5. Shipping or carrier delays
Once dispatched, delays can occasionally occur due to:

  • Courier processing times
  • International transit
  • Customs clearance

What most customers don’t realise

Production timelines are estimates, not exact dates.

Because many wigs are handcrafted or made to order:

  • Small variations in timing are normal
  • Delays are not uncommon in custom hair production
  • Extra time often means additional care and attention has gone into your piece

What you can do

If your order is taking longer than expected:

  • Check your original estimated timeframe
  • Allow for slight variation within the production window
  • Monitor your tracking once dispatched

If your order is significantly outside the expected timeframe, you’re welcome to contact us and we will look into it for you.

Our honest perspective

We understand that waiting can feel frustrating.

However, the time taken is directly linked to the quality of your wig. Rushing production would compromise the final result, which is something we do not do.

Important

Many of our wigs are made to order, and production time is required before dispatch. Delays do not qualify for cancellations or refunds, as your piece is being actively created.
