What delays can happen during production?Updated 14 days ago

While most orders are completed within the estimated timeframe, occasional delays can happen during production, especially with made-to-order human hair wigs.

These delays are usually related to ensuring your wig is completed to the highest possible standard.

Common reasons for production delays

1. Custom colour work

Wigs that require:

  • Specific tones
  • Blending or adjustments
  • Multi-dimensional colouring

may take longer to perfect, as colour work must be carefully processed and refined.

2. Length and density

Longer or fuller wigs often require:

  • More hair
  • More construction time
  • Additional balancing and shaping

This can extend production slightly, particularly for high-density or long-length pieces.

3. Production volume

During busy periods, such as sales or high-demand seasons, production timelines may extend due to increased order volume.

All wigs are completed in order to maintain fairness and consistency.

4. Quality control adjustments

Before dispatch, every wig goes through a final inspection.

If any refinements are needed, such as:

  • Adjusting colour
  • Improving construction
  • Refining the final style

additional time may be taken to ensure the wig meets our standard.

5. Material preparation

Some orders may require:

  • Specific hair preparation
  • Matching tones or textures
  • Adjustments to meet the selected specifications

This can add time, particularly for more detailed or customised pieces.

What most customers don’t realise

Production timelines are estimates, not exact dates.

Because many wigs are:

  • Handmade
  • Customised
  • Individually constructed

small variations in timing are normal and expected within the industry.

Our honest perspective

Delays are not about slowing down your order. They are about ensuring your wig is completed properly.

Taking additional time when needed allows us to deliver a result that looks natural, feels comfortable, and meets our quality expectations.

What you should do

  • Refer to your original estimated timeframe
  • Allow for slight variation within the production window
  • Contact us if your order is significantly outside the expected timeframe

Important

Production delays do not qualify for cancellations or refunds, as your wig is being actively created. All made-to-order pieces require time to be completed to the required standard.
