Did I choose the wrong wig?Updated 15 days ago
It’s completely normal to question your choice when your wig first arrives, especially if you are new to wearing wigs or trying a different style.
In most cases, it does not mean you chose the wrong wig. It usually means the wig hasn’t been adjusted, styled, or worn enough yet to feel natural.
Why you might feel unsure at first
A new wig can feel different because:
- You are not used to seeing yourself with that colour or length
- The volume or density feels unfamiliar
- The wig has not yet been positioned or styled to suit you
This adjustment period is very common.
First impressions can be misleading
Wigs rarely look perfect straight out of the box.
They often need:
- Slight repositioning
- Light styling or reshaping
- Time to settle and feel comfortable
Many customers find their wig looks significantly better after a few small adjustments.
It may not be the wig, it may be the styling
The final look depends on how the wig is worn.
Small changes can make a big difference, such as:
- Adjusting the placement on your head
- Softening the volume
- Changing the parting
- Letting the hair frame your face more naturally
Setting realistic expectations
We always want to be honest:
- Wigs will look different on every person
- Photos are styled and professionally lit
- Some personal adjustment is always required
This does not mean the wig is incorrect.
When it might not be the right fit
In some cases, the wig may not align with your preference, for example:
- The colour feels too different from what you’re used to
- The length or density isn’t what you expected
If your wig is completely unused and meets return conditions, you may be eligible to request a return.
What to do before deciding
Before making a decision, we recommend:
- Trying the wig on again with small adjustments
- Giving yourself time to get used to the look
- Avoiding any alterations (such as cutting lace) until you’re sure
Our honest perspective
Most customers who feel unsure at first find that with a bit of adjustment, the wig becomes much more natural and wearable.
It’s rarely about choosing the “wrong” wig, it’s about learning how to make it work for you.
Important
Wigs require personal adjustment and may feel unfamiliar at first. This is not considered a fault. Returns are only accepted for items that remain unused and meet all return conditions.
